April's Fools, May's Mothers

April Fool's 2014 was a BLUE day. For a few weeks in March the Blackmers, Nick and Rand received anonymous letters in the mail with 1-blue napkin, 2-blue balloon, 3-blue socks, 4-blue Lego man with a note "The BLUE man says Celebrate April Fool's Day at the BLUE Man Group, Tuesday April 1st."  It was a delightful show.

(The out-of-staters received a compensatory April 1st surprise too.)

Had a great Mother's Day. Ryser cousins gathered for the Run for The Cure.
(Nick and Rand were laying sod at home - very nice!)

The night before, Dave surprised Rachel with an unforgettable Mother's Day event. He rented the band, St Boheme, to play Amelie music while they ate a candlelight dinner.  Soo thoughtful and fun!

And speaking of fun, we're still enjoying our foster granddaughters. I took the oldest to a local author's book-signing. Afterwards, she asked Rachel when she can babysit Grandma again. :)

It's interesting to "have" grandchildren that we aren't allowed to brag too much about or post public pictures of (never end a sentence in a preposition).  I'm not used to keeping my life private from social media but perhaps it's healthy to enjoy people without blasting it all over the internet? Hmm.
I can brag about their cute feet though, right?

As for our East Coast families:
Maggie, Al and DAUGHTER!
