April Fool's 2009

As you know, we love April Fool's Day. Someday we'll do a blog entry on all the great tricks we've played over the years. But this year broke a record for the number of people who were tricked by one joke.

After school on Wednesday, Nick was greeted with his mission call!


During Nick's Lacrosse practice, I called a couple of his friends and asked them to call a few others to invite them over for the Grand Opening. Rachel and Dave came also and by 9pm, over twenty high school friends were gathered for the big event! (Fortunately, our family all knew it was a joke, even Maggie in Germany)


As Nick read the letter, it became apparent that this was not the real thing:
