What Do I Do All Day?

So since I'm not working as much at the temple, people ask me what I do all day?

Hang out with friends:

Lake Mary with RS sisters

Former college roommates, Dawn and Joy
 Temple friends, Jayne and Freddy

Fans of Marsha, the day before her cancer surgery - she came out great!
Long-time friend, Gail
Even longer-time Idaho childhood friend, Anne

So I almost killed our dog too.  Before Maggie's wedding I hid some rat poison in the backyard (we do that in the fall). I had a not-so-sneaking suspicion that Millie had eaten some when I found an empty packet on the grass and she was acting hyper one day... actually it was 2 days before the wedding and knowing she had eaten many other dastardly foods, I hoped she'd get over it ok.

Well she didn't. 3 days after the wedding, she wouldn't eat and moped around the house. Here she was after blood tests at the vet - look at her sad eyes.
That night Rand and I thought we would lose her - she had difficulty breathing and could barely walk. I took her back to the vet and they sent me to an er vet. They were wonderful - basically brought her back to life with plasma transfusions.  The following day we brought her home. The vet calls her "Miracle Millie." The bonus is that she now isn't afraid to go out at night - explain that!

Rand enjoyed his last week of hospital call!  His office staff also decorated, including a game of pin the scope on the _________ (you can guess).

Lastly the Ryser siblings started the process of clearing out the parents' home. We had a blast one Saturday, sorting, claiming items, and sneaking squash into each others' cars.

Here's one of the items Pete and I fought over.
Watch out at the Ryser Christmas Gift Exchange!

Kinda sad to see the end of many happy years at the Ryser home.
